Mode of Action
Mesotrione 2.27%w/w + Atrazine 22.7%w/w SC is a selective post emergence herbicide recommended for the control of Grasses, Broad leaf weeds and Sedges in Maize and Sugarcane. Cautionary statements: 1. Not to be used for any purpose other than those subscribed on labels & leaflets. 2. Product is highly toxic to the Fish and aquatic organisms, its use may be avoided near aquaculture. 3. The product is skin sensitizer, prolonged or frequently repeated skin contact may cause allergic reactions.

Direction of Use
Requires applies 1400 ml per acre mixed in 200 liters of water as a post emergence foliar spray when weeds are at the 2 – 4 leaf stages.
- Recommended Dose: 1400 ml per acre
- Water Volume: 200 liters per acre for uniform coverage
- Timing of Application: Early post-emergence when the crop is established and target weeds (annual grasses and broadleaf weeds) are actively growing at the 2 to 4 leaf stage.
- Equipment: Use a knapsack sprayer fitted with flat fan or flood jet nozzles to ensure an even spray pattern.

Precautions
Do not use cooking utensils for preparing the spray solution. Use wooden stick for stirring the spray solution. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, mouth and clothing. Avoid inhalation of fog, vapors or spray mist. Wear protective clothing (full sleeve shirt and pants), chemical resistant hand gloves to avoid contact with the skin, mask, goggles, hat and boots, while handling the product. Do not eat, drink or smoke while applying the product. Wash hands with soap and plenty of water and change clothes after the work is over. Avoid contamination of air and water bodies with the herbicide. Also wash the
contaminated clothes before re-use. Newly treated areas must not be grazed and all livestock is to be kept out until the treated area is dry. This product should not be applied (tank – mix) with any other chemical. Do not blow nozzle with mouth. Do not spray crops under stress. If any indisposition occurs, stop the work, follow first aid measures and call a physician immediately. Spilt product must not be re-used. Collect up spilt material thoroughly and bury it in a safe place. Rinse spilt area with plenty of water. It is dangerous to re-use empty containers. Rinse empty container three times before disposal and add the rinsate into spray tank before application. Do not re-use empty container to keep food items or for any other purpose.
Symptoms Of Poisoning
Irritation to eyes, skin and respiratory tract may occur, product is skin sensitizer so it may cause skin allergy and other non-specific symptoms may be expected as labored respiration, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache and confusion.
First Aid
If poisoning or any indisposition is suspected. Stop work immediately and call a physician. Show label to the physician. Remove the affected person from danger zone to a well ventilated room or to fresh air. If Ingested: Never give anyting by mouth to an unconscious patient and never induce vomiting. Consult the doctor immediately. If Inhaled: Take the patient to fresh air and take care of body temperature. If patient is not breathing or breathing with difficulty, give artificial respiration, preferably with mouth to mouth breathing. Consult a physician. In case of skin contact: Affected parts of body e.g. finger, nails, etc should be washed with soap and water. All the contaminated clothes should be segregated and thoroughly washed with soap and water separately before use. If skin irritation persists, consult a doctor. In case of eye contact: Rinse gently with plenty of water at least for 15 minutes. If pain, irritation, redness or photophobia persists, consult eye specialist.
